After recommendations of respected, experienced fellow breeders, as well as our own research into the product itself,  our puppies and dogs are now receiving a daily supplement of NuVet Vitamins to assure and maintain good health, as well as produce healthy strong babies from our breeding dogs.

We continue to do extensive research on Commercial Dog foods, those recommended, those not, the good ingredients and the "bad" ingredients.  We currently do not feel we have found the "perfect food" that we would recommend to our puppy families for a variety of reasons....one being availability in their area.  Also, dogs are like people...each one has its own dietary needs that will be revealed as they mature, and one food will not address the issues of all dogs.  There is no "one size fits all" in dog food. You will receive a sample of the food we have started your puppy on and information about our choice to either maintain or transition to what your vet recommends and you believe will best serve your puppy's health.

We have had varying results in several of the foods we have tried, and continue to research for the food that best suits our needs, more importantly...the needs of our puppies and dogs.   We have become aware of the benefits of using NuVet Vitamins to supplement our dogs' diet in anything that may be lacking in various commercial dog foods.  We have heard that some vets and breeders recommend periodic changing of foods throughout the life of your dog, so it is reassuring to know that the supplements in NuVet will always be there to pick up where any food may lack.
Please visit their website for more information on their product by visiting the link below.   NuVet is not available in stores, but conveniently delivered to your door by ordering on online.   You will receive information about NuVet with your Puppy Package, as well as some vitamin samples.    Click on the Picture Below to begin your puppy on the path to health, vitality and happiness for all.

"Although pet food manufactuers formulate their products to meet the guidelines established by the AAFCO, the only mission of this organization is to guarantee the food meets a minimum of certain key nutrients - the minimal amount calculated to prevent known diseases due to deficiencies.  But that doesn't mean the ingredients promote health, and the guidelines do not specify the quality of the ingredients, whether or not the proteins and carbohydrates have been tested for digestibility or how well your dog will actually absorb the nutrients.  So...it is up to YOU, your pet's caregiver, to make sure you are feeding the best diet for your dog's ultimate health and well-being."

Holistic has yet to be embraced by regulations and standards with regards to pet food, so any manufacturer can claim the phrase on their packaging.
