We are having a blast with Major. He is so smart and lovable and really wants to please. He cried for around 45 minutes
Thursday night when Corry began the crate training for night and that was it. He now sleeps in his crate right beside Corry's
bed and Corry gets up and takes him out every few hours. He has had only 3 accidents in the house. He takes a walk
around the block on the leash in the morning and in the evening and does very well. He is just a bundle of joy for us and is
so full of life. Mary Claire
Hi Tina, Thank you again for everything. It was so great to finally get to see both yourself and Bailey yesterday. He
was as good as he could be on the way home yesterday.... sleeping most of the way. When we finally got home he had a blast playing
in the yard with the kids and then plopped down on the kitchen floor for a nap around 7:30pm while we ate dinner. He didn't
have a great night last night. He barked alot but I am sure it just is that he was away from his siblings and in a new place.
I did leave him in his crate all night. /////Just wanted to let u know that Bailey had his first Vet apt yesterday and did great.
The Dr. couldn't believe how calm he was. Bailey just layed there on the table and let the dr do whatever he wanted to him.
The man that the dr called in to help him hold bailey still didn't even have to touch him.. he said Bailey was lazy and didn't want
to stand up :) He didn't even mind his shot.. just layed there and took it ... what a good boy. He has been so excellent.
I let him hang in the kitchen alot. I put up a gate and he like to just sleep on the floor there.///(Take a look at this last
picture upper right! Bailey is truely a Family Dog!) "Tina, I forgot this cute pic of my husband and Bailey. They snuggle
and watch tv together at night in the family room when everyone else goes to sleep :) xo-M (9/26/08)
Eli passed his first vet check other than some roundworms which we are treating. Housebreaking is progressing although
we still have occasional accidents, especially when we don't monitor how much water he has had. He seems to be picking up some
basic commands, for instance sit, very quickly. My 6 year old chocolate lab, Zoey, wasn't too thrilled at first to have
a puppy around but within the week had warmed up to him. Attached is a picture of the two of them playing together which they
do quite a bit now. I have also attached a few other pictures including Eli dressed in his Mountaineer gear. He continues
to be very adorable and likes to be held and cuddled. Everyone who has meet him thinks he is the cutest puppy they have ever
seen! (Breeders note: Eli was due for his next worming, which is done every two weeks from two weeks of age up
to 12 weeks and monthly thereafter, a week after he went home at 7 weeks. We use Nemex-2. Puppies are inevitably
born with worms, and must be treated agressively under a Veterinarian's supervision while young). Mommy is always treated when
her puppies are treated.
