CHEWBACCA'S HOMECOMING WITH CHUCK AND AMANDA AND FAMILY 2/21/09 Chesapeak, Va
2/22/09 - Chewy didn't dig his kennel at all,
but then again we didn't get home in time to give him a proper intro, he'll do better tonight. He and I spent some quality time
in the back yard at 1AM this morning, a good 30min or so. He wanted to play. He's loving the kids and follows everyone
around the house like crazy. But the real update is my buddy brought over his 2 lab pups, they were running around the pool,
Chewy got bumped and kinda took a header into the pool. IT WAS AWESOME. He knew exactly what to do and started swimming
across. I pulled him out, he was all good. Chuck
3/3/09 - Tina, Thanks a million for the stellar little Chewbacca.
He's quite the man!! Attached are a couple pics. He's doing wonderful, we absolutely love his demeanor. He's not
one for the crate but we're working it. He's pretty accustomed to ringing his bell when he needs to go out and that
process should be done within a week or 2. Like I said he's already been in the pool and I can't keep him out of
the pond behind our house (which is totally cool with me) He often spends a large chunk of his morning and evening walks at full sprint
and has done very well with some of my friends lab puppies. Tks again, and enjoy the pics.

THIS IS APOLLO WITH HIS NEW FAMILY IN CHARLESTOWN, WV
I really had hoped to have taken a moment before now and write to you with
an update of Apollo's transition ...So good to hear that Hershey did not have too rough a time of losing her babies! Her
loss is definitely our gain! We are absolutely, hands down in love with Apollo. What a beautiful, furry bundle of happiness.
We went to the vet on Monday for our check-up. Little Mr. Chubby-Chub-Chub weighed in at 13 lbs. Vet was just in love
with Apollo. Everything checked out and we discussed all those 1st time puppy owner's discussion to include grooming, worming,
shots and neutering. Apollo laid on that metal table for 30+ minutes, getting poked, prodded and never showed a moment of unhappiness.
The last few days have been a bit rough as we were crate training. Things really seemed to come together for Apollo today.
I hope the worst is behind us ... Potty training continues to go very well. He was already off to a wonderful start with
the paper. This morning he actually put his paw up on the door to ask to go out. Such a smart puppy!!
I have attached a few pictures ... as we are still trying to round the entire brood up at the same time for one family pic.
Thanks again for such a beautiful puppy and we welcome him as a member of our family!! Michelle, Ollie, Haley, Madison
& Logan
WINNIE IS WITH JENN AND GREGG IN MAINEVILLE, OH. WE EXTEND OUR CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES FOR THEIR UPCOMING WEDDING THIS
SUMMER. Maineville, Oh
Hello Tina-
Thanks so much for the email. Things have been kinda crazy here. Winnie is doing great.
Potty training is going good. She has some accidents but only really when she gets excited. We took her over to my best
friends house and she has two year old triplets. Winnie had a blast. She was amazing with the kids. I am sending
you some pictures we took with the kids. Winnie goes to the vet on Tuesday for her shots. Her UTI is all gone. Everything
with her is going beautiful. She has brought lots of joy (and stress) to our lives. Thanks again. Jenn and Gregg

MEET LEO WHO NOW LIVES WITH PAM LATTER AND HER FAMILY IN WILMINGTON, NC
Hi Tina,
Well all is well here in NC. Leo is really adjusting
to us & us to him. He had his vet visit yesterday and everything was wonderful, he's now up to 9 3/4 pounds!!! Turns
out one of my old friends now works as an assistant at our vets and is waiting to hear when she will be accepted at NC
State Vet School in Raleigh NC...She's always wanted to be a vet and her husband told her to go for it!!! So once she gets in they
will transplant their family to Raleigh for her to fulfill her "dream"..Pretty wonderful I'd say. Leo is great, he's sleeping
much better at night, only up once last night. The crate training has been a no brainer for him. The kids are
really enjoying his playfulness & they love running around the house together. He met some of our canine neighbors today
as it's finally warm enough to spend some time outside. He's also discovered his reflection in our aquarium stand (glass doors
on the bottom). He barks & growls & plays with his reflection--it's hilarious! Sorry I didn't get back to
you yesterday after the vet visit but my laptop was acting up & I didn't get a chance to diagnose the problem until just about
20 minutes ago. Thanks again for all you did, I was telling my neighbor about our experience & she may very well be contacting
you in the near future. She was smitten with Leos cuteness!! Take care, Pam
Dear Tina,
We LOVE Leo...He's such
a smart dog. He's learned to walk on lead after about 5 days. He typically only wakes only once a night to go outside.
Crate training is going fine, he seems to enjoy his "quite time" in his crate.
Here's a story of his amazing smartness!! I am
the 1st riser in the family so Leo & I are usually taking his morning walk around 5:30, since it's still dark outside we stay
within our backyard, once he's done his business I like to walk around front & get the morning paper. Being the ever communicating
Mom that I am I tell him "Okay Leo let's go get the newspaper". Not really thinking about it too much we then walk to the front
yard, down the driveway & I pick up the paper. Imagine my surprise after about the 4th or 5th day when I said "Let's get
the newspaper" he became playful and began prancing down the driveway and then he tried to retrieve the paper for me!!!! Unfortunately
it's too heavy for him right now but I open it up & pull out a small sale paper & roll it up; he then carries that all
the way around the house to the back door & then drops it for me as I open the door!!! We're still working on the potty
training during the day - the weekend are a bit more challenging due to the constant stimulation from the kids but we're working through
it.
Here's another amazing story of Leo -- We bought a baby gate to allow him to run free on our deck & back &
forth through the house now that the weather is finally warm enough to open windows & doors. Well we keep a water bowl for
the cats on deck (we feed them in the garage because we have a lot of wildlife that enjoy the cat food!) When Leo was on
the deck playing he of course was drinking from that water bowl. I was inside putting a load of laundry in the washer and then
I heard him run into the kitchen -- when I glanced that way he'd brought the empty plastic water bowl to the rug in front of the Kitchen
sink and dropped it there..As if to say "okay I need more water". So smart!!!

Hi Tina,
Just wanted to give you yet another update.
We had a vet appt today, puppy check up. All is well, no worms & Leo now weighs 13.8 pounds!!! He was another hit
at the vets office -- all the staff carried on & on about him, wanting to know his lineage, what his parents looked like,
where he came from, etc., they said while they are seeing more Labradoodles they'd never seen one with such a beautiful coat/color!!!
He also got his 1st shot DHP & bordatella (intranasal serum). He didn't seem at all phased by any of it & as I was asking
some other questions he even fell asleep in the office!! Take care, Pam
SOME WORDS FROM BECKI BAILLIE AND HER SON NATE AND THEIR FAMILY Ford City, PA
Good Morning!
I just wanted to let you know the
trip home went well. She slept the whole 3 hours. She also had a good night. She slept with me on the couch, woke me up @ 3:30 scratching
at my leg and whimpering - took her outside. She did her double business and came back in and went back to sleep. I hope it continues!
I will send some pictures soon. I have some cute ones of Fudge and Stella(my shih-tzu) playing in the snow. Thanks for everything!
She is adorable!
Hi Tina!
We had our first vet visit Tuesday. All went well. The girls in the office loved her! I actually
took Fudge and Stella(my shih-tzu) together and they both weighed exactly 10.8 pounds. And the daily number in PA was 018 that
day - too bad I am not a gambling person! I will chat more later when I send pictures. I am at school. How big are Hershey and
Winston? Just curious. Gotta go Becki
AND A NOTE FROM CHRISTA RUSSELL AND FAMILY IN HILLIARD, OH
Hi Tina
First of all, I am sorry it has been awhile! Things have
just been super busy and little Alex is taking alot of our time--although we are all thoroughly enjoying her. We took her to
a vet that was recommended from one of our close friends--and I just loved him. I think they had five people in the room with
us and went over everything very thoroughly with us.They took a stool sample and it came back with coccidia so we had to go back and
get medicine which she takes for ten days. She goes back on March 10 for her second round of shots so the will re-check the
stool at that time. She weighed 9.6 pounds :)) She is definitely getting more playful and is eating well. Her favorite
toy is the one from you :)
Thanks...Alex has her visit to the vet on tuesday for shots :( She is starting to be
better at "potty training" but still has her accidents. She has been better at sleeping through the night, too, knock on wood.
She is really chewing..chewing...we try to replace our legs or pants that she tries to bite with toys in hopes that she just wants
"something" to bite on :) She met some extended family at the boys' birthday party (at our house) and they all really loved
her. She is so cute and soft. Todd gave her a bath on Saturday morning and she smelled so good :) Talk to you soon!
Christa

Not bad...could use some cherry syrup!
Just wait til I get bigger...I'll run faster than you!
Yeah....my life is pretty good. How about you?
I'm gonna get you! (I love to make babies laugh!)
Uhhh....Mom...I don't know
about this bow thing
Here's looking at you,....kid!
Okay...if you insist...you can kiss me!
I'm coming....I'm coming....WAIT!

3/28/2009 Tina, How are you?? As you can see from the attached pictures Chewy is rockin!! We spent some time in the pool this
afternoon, you know how kids are, they just don't believe it's cold until they actually get in there themselves. oh well. Chewy
was on fire, just swimming around, we're trying to teach him to goto the stairs, he'll get it locked in this summer. Took him to the
vet this past week, everything was fine, he weighed in at 19 lbs. Everyone says he's getting so much bigger, I just don't see it.
Potty training is good to go. An accident here and there. He's got sit, stay, come down to a T. and almost sleeping from
1100 to 0600 without having to go out. It's all good. He's such a wonderful dog and we get compliments EVERYWHERE!
Chuck Miller Thanks again for the wonderful little furry dude. (Pics Below)
3/31/2009 Hello Tina,
Just wanted to tell you how much of a pleasure Winnie is. She is getting big quickly, and
is full of energy. She is a lot of fun. We have been working with her daily, and she can sit, lay down, shake paws, and
speak on command! All at 12 weeks! I am constantly surprised at how smart she is. Our other dog, who is a mini Maltese,
has become Winnie's best friend. They play together every chance they get. I have been taking Winnie to meet other people
and children, too, and every time, she is very sociable. Our hope is for her to become a service dog either for cancer
patients, or autistic children. We will see how it goes. None the less, we love her very much and wanted to again thank
you for everything. I am also sending some new pictures of her. I hope you enjoy. Good luck with your upcoming litters.
We will be checking in to see how everything is going. Sincerely, Gregg and Jenn.
PS. I was hoping that
you still have the picture that you took of all of us on the day we picked Winnie up. Jenn is putting together a scrapbook and
we would very much like to include that picture. Thanks again. (Pics Below)
