Here are some pictures of the Baby, Sadie, she has grown so much!!!  She is totally different than when we first brought her home, someone must have shot her up with Happy Juice, we can't keep her down.  She is crazy.  Many thanks, Kandi  (3/29/08)
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sadie had to be re-homed.  Thanks to Kandi and our encouragement to all of our puppy families, we were able to assist in this.  Below you will find a beautiful picture of Sadie in her new home in VA.
Through much deliberation, my girls and I have decided to name him Hershey.  Hershey has adapted very well to his surroundings, he is so sweet and seems to be loving all of us paying attention to him.  He did not like being in a crate at all and cried the 1st few nights, however, by Sunday evening he slept all night long with only a few little cries and getting better every day.  He does not like to be away from us which I love!  He has been GREAT in the car and we take him along every chance we get!  Take care!  Julie (3/18/08)
Niko  has been wonderful. He is very playful and loves to be right where I am. I am already spoiling him and letting him sleep in the bed at night. He has been very good and has not had one accident during the night. He does go in the cage while I am in class a few hours a day. Niko has been with me now for 8 days. He loves to go in the car over to my moms house and play with her 9 year old toy poodle. He listens very well and is now begining to learn his new name. I am so happy with him and so thankful I found Tina while in search for my new puppy. Thanks so much. I will send updated pictures as he grows. (4/8/08)

Tina,
Here is an updated picture of the "baby".  He is such a good dog!  (No manners, but very loveable!)  Everyone just loves him.  We had a family party this weekend and he just sat and let everyone fawn over him!  We will send more pictures later! Hope you and your family are doing well.

Hi Tina.
I am getting ready to download some pics of Cooper before and after his cut.
The people at Petsmart said he actually SLEPT through his clipping and asked could I please bring him back because they wanted more dogs like him! So far, he's been wonderful. He actually slept all night last night without waking us with no evidence of pottying in his crate. He slept most of yesterday and I'm thinking it's because of all his shots on Friday-plus how stressed he was with his new environment!
We did start out with the crate in the living room so he could watch tv when we were at work, but had to move it to our bedroom as he was so lonely without humans. After we did that, he slept just fine. We've had a couple accidents in the house, but they were all our fault for not taking him when we should have. Michael is disappointed he can't sleep with him just yet, but I want him 100% potty trained before that happens!
I am so glad he is the one we got. He just seems to fit into our household perfectly. The only time he barks is when he's alone and feeling left out (which should be few and far between!), he's so well mannered with the kids and everyone else he's met. I've never owned a dog that didn't almost knock you down when on a leash, and with Cooper, the leash just hangs there because he's attached to your leg instead!
Thanks again for such a wonderful dog!

Hershey with his family in Virginia.
Max, with his new family in NJ
I have attached some new pics of Hershey (above)...it is amazing how big he's gotten and so fast he's 4 months now and 40lbs! He's learned to come when called (not quite 100 % of the time but he's learning...he also sits and gives his paw...I'm now teaching him to lie down.  I am amazed how intelligent this breed isand although his care is quite expensive (but no more expensive than any of the other dogs) he's has been the easiest to train and is the most loveable and laid-back dog I have ever owned!

Hi Tina! Sorry we haven't been giving updates like we should. The pics I sent are of Cooper in April, May and July. Look how he's grown!
Cooper has been such a blessing to our family. He truly is the perfect dog: he learned his name in a couple of days (whether he comes depends on what he feels like doing); he knows how to sit and stay and learned in just a couple quick lessons; he never barks unless he's playing around; he potty trained super fast, and he's def. a people dog. We've had so many people ask us what kind of dog he is because not only is he adorable (I'm not partial, right? 8D ), but he's so well behaved they wish they'd gotten a poodle instead of whatever other breed of dog they have. And that kind of good behavior is bred in, not trained. We don't even have to use the leash anymore with him. You were right, he doesn't run away-he stays right with his people when we go outside. He is completely devoted to both our kids. I have to stop him from opening their doors when they sleep at night. He doesn't go in and wake them up-he just opens the door and checks on them! Other than the fact that he still gets carsick (hoping he will outgrow it), I can't think of one thing that isn't just wonderful about him. I am a true believer now. Thanks so much for your advice and patience with us when we went down to pick out our dog. I am thankful you suggested him rather than the female we originally wanted. Cooper has never lifted his leg even once, so that was def. an unfounded sexist stereotype. The improvements to your doggy homes look great too! Thanks for keeping in contact with us!  Rebecca T.  7/30/08

Tina, we are SO in love with Deuce!  We decided to name him Dickens II and call him deuce.  He has been a joy already, about 100 pics and some videos that we’ll cherish forever.  He has pottied in the same place outside every time, no indoor mistakes yet!  We are sure we made the right decision after all of that indecisiveness!  He has adapted very well already.  It also helps us feel good knowing where he came from and the environment he was raised in.  All breeders should follow your model.  Thanks a million and tell Rich thanks for helping us too!  Here are a couple of pics.  Can you send us the picture of the 3 of us you took.  Thanks.

Here is Rusty's Album.  One of Fanny and Bear's pups from August '08.  He now lives with Jeri Ann and her family in South Carolina.  How about that John Deere?  Along side the "Gator" are pictures of Rusty's first haircut.  Isn't he handsome?  Check his special story below.
Tina,  Here are a few pictures of Rusty. As you can see Rhett and Rusty are getting along well. He rides with him in his gator around the house. He has started playing and running with the kids outside as well. I think he is starting to feel at home now. He will get up and waunder around. Before we had to pick him up for everything. He will be getting a haircut Thursday so I will send pictures of his "new -du". Talk with you soon. Jeri Ann

Tina, Rusty is doing great. I believe he is feeling more and more comfortable at his new home.Rhett is very protective of him. He doesn't like for you to get onto him. He's says Rusty's my dog. They get out in the yard and chase each other every evening. I think their a perfect pair. Here are some pics of his new hair cut.  Thanks

Rusty has a story to tell.  On November 26th, 2008 Jeri Ann notified me that her vet suspected a leaky heart valve and referred her to a Specialist.   On December 12, 2008, it was confirmed and Rusty was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect (defect at birth), PDA (patent ductus arteriosus: "PDA is a persistent arterial connection between the aorta and pulmonary artery that normally closes at birth or shortly thereafter.  In the uterus, the ductus plays an important role in shunting blood away from the nonfunctioning lungs." Dog Owners Home Veternary Handbook, Forth Edition.)  As per our Contract of Sale, we immediately reimbursed Jeri Ann and her family the full amount paid for the purchase of Rusty to help with his medical expenses and required surgery.   The day after Christmas....Rusty had successful surgery, and we are happy to report he has recovered 100%.  Although we kept in touch through various emails before, during and following Rusty's surgery, below is Jeri Ann's recent email following his final post-op check-up.

2/16/2009  Tina,  We took Rusty for his final check up this morning and the doctor said everything sounded great. He has been released from his care. You would never know he had surgery. His hair has blended well and he is as active as can be. I will send some updated photos soon. Thanks again for everything. It's good to know there are still some honest and trustworthy people in the world. If we ever decide on another dog I will definitely call you.  Thanks, Jeri Ann

Here is Guinness (below) with his big step-brother, Bosco.  They live with Connie and Tom in Long Island, NY.

Hi Tina,

We just got in about a half an hour ago. What a trip in the rain! It was horrible, it took us almost 6 hours. The boys were pretty good in the car, we stopped to eat and that is the only time I caged Guinness so they weren't crammed and smelling food together, sometimes Bosco gets lost in his emotions when food is around! When we got home they were running in the yard together and playing like crazy in the house! There was a little growling from Bosco during dinner time, but we cleared it up and I hope tomorrow will be better. I am sure it will, long drive in the car for both of them so I think thad had to do with it as well.
Thank you so much for your compliments on Bosco! He is my baby, I mean one of my babies now :) They are the love of my life and I cherish my dogs for all the devotion that they give me.  I am so please with Guinness, he is so beautiful! My mother and father were so impressed as well.   I will be keeping in touch and I wll let you know how Tuesday goes at the vet!  Thank you,  Connie

Hi Tina,
Just getting back from the vet, Guinness passed with flying colors! The Dr. said he was a real beauty and that we were very lucky to have him.    He is getting along very well with Bosco, they play and roll around on the floor, Bosco puts his whole mouth over Guinness's head as he lays in between his front legs, very cute! When we play frisbee in the yard Guinness runs on Bosco's coat tails for every trip to fetch it, then he just gets there and stares as Bosco picks it up and runs back. I think they will be BFF!   I will send you new pics soon! Thank you so much for such a wonderful addition to our home! (Connie & Tom)

Hi Tina,
Merry Christmas :) What a wonderful time of the year for us all. We just had some bad snow come through these past few days and boy does Guinness absolutely love it!! Bosco too :) I cannot get them inside the house, they use it as bumpers and run in and out of it, so very cute!  I wanted to update you on Guinness's potty training; my boy is officially trained - woohoo!! It happened just like that, almost over night, he just started barking at the back door. He no longer sleeps in a crate at night, he sleeps in his bed (or Bosco's, they share) all night long wth no accidents, he even barks in the morning and comes to lick my face to tell me he has to go potty! We are thrilled with him. Now we can put the area rugs back down just in time for Christmas :)  Everyday I look at them play and see the love they share and I know 100% we did the right thing. Thank you for blessing us with Guinness, they will always be my "first two boys.'  I will send you more pics as soon as he gets a hair cut in about three weeks or so.  Happy New Year! Good luck with everything in the begining of the year, I pray all the deliveries go well for you :)  Connie Ehrlinger
