My name is Tina Law. We are a Christian Family who returned to my husband's (Rich), family farm in 1998 from
Carroll County, Maryland where we lived after we were married in 1989. We have two children, Matthew 18, and Lisa
14. Rich and his Dad, and with help of family, operate 240 acres of farmland and between 40 and 50 Angus
Cows, 2 Bulls and calves. I owned two horses when I met Rich, and despite being raised 20 minutes outside of Washington,
D.C., always wanted the Country Life. My horses were the closest thing I had even though I had to board them away from
my home. On February 14, 2008, I lost my very first horse, Tango, at the age of 31. I owned him for 24 years. We
love our animals. I had various exotic pets when I was younger, but both my husband and I share a mutual love for
dogs. This love led us into the addition to our farm business, Lawpdoodle Kennel, a reputable, licensed
kennel in West Virginia. We started with the idea of Doodles (Goldendoodles and Labradoodles). However, through
our first doggy purchase, we surprisingly fell in love with the Standard Poodle. We will continue to breed AKC
Purebred quality Standard Poodles as part of our breeding program for the love of the breed. I cannot say enough about
these fabulous dogs...and yes....they are DOGS....not those "fuzzy creatures" you see prancing around the show ring (okay..so they
are sometimes, and many earn their right to be beautiful). I never thought my husband would let anything with
the name "Poodle" on our property (me neither!), however, he and I have been smitten by this breed of dog. Take time to researchthe vast history of this breed and you will be surprised they are not always about those "pretty" poofy pooches you
see in the dog shows. They were originally bred as hunting dogs and water retrievers. Did you know......their "odd"
hair cuts (which have "changed" over the years) originally were designed to assist them while swimming, retrieving and hunting?.....ummmmmm....guys,
are you listening? And talk about the most fabulous family pet. Just go to my testimony pages and see for yourself!
We
still have Doodles, too!
We are currently working our colors to include Brown & White Parti's, Red's,
Chocolates, Blacks and Apricots. We will be working toward multi-gen chocolate and white Parti Labradoodles as well in our breeding
program.
We welcome you to come and visit us to see our Farm and Kennel (Doggy Manor!). Our Kennel has
been completed with 8 units and 4 puppy boxes including, runs, heat, electric and water and a bath and grooming
area! Also featuring separate large yard areas for dogs to have run in all day long. Ongoing improvements and changes
always! Check our page "Doggy Manor" for pictures and updates. We look forward to hearing from you and maybe the
opportunity to meet you! May God Bless You and Your Family, In Christ.
Meet Our Family
Above left (picture taken May, 2007) from left to right, our son Matthew; our daughter Lisa; our Brazilian Daugther,
Muriel, School year 2006-07, Tina (me) and my husband, Rich. Pictured on the far Right, our daughter Lisa, Freshman Homecoming
Princess 2008, now a Junior in High School and Varsity Soccer Player and veteran of our Multiple Champion Winning High School
Show Choir, including West Virginia State Champions 2010. Our Son, Matthew is now a Junior in College at West Virginia
University, and is currently serving in the United States Army Reserves at Basic Training, Summer 2010. He will be returning
in the fall of 2010 to continue his College Education at WVU while serving in the Army Reserves. Yep....I'm a pretty proud Mommy!
God Bless our Military, God Bless America!
Also, pictured in the center is our first Exchange Student, Muriel, during a return visit
and our Exchange Student, Fran, school year 2008-09. We are excited to announce the arrival of our next Foreign Exchange Student
from Brazil, Veronica, who will be joining our family in August 2010.
This is our home. To the left you will see my former Quilt Studio, now our Puppy Nursery. It is like a small
home, with a bathroom, gas fireplace, carpeting, ceramic tile and lots of windows. It also works very
well for "puppy pick-up" for our new puppy families. Traveling through is Grandpa on his Mule. Not in view
to the right behind our house is our Doggy Manor. Check the link to our Doggy home above for more pictures. We welcome
anyone wishing to tour our "Home" for our Four-legged family members. We've had some neighbors joke that if they
have a spat with their spouse, could they temporarily take up residence in our Doggy House? Yep....our doggies have
it pretty good! More pictures of our home below, taken Summer 2010.
OUR LIFE IN THE COUNTRY.......GOD'S COUNTRY!
In Memory of our Beloved Keesha who left us too soon. The memories will live forever in our hearts, as will Keesha. The
tears will forever flow. We miss you, dear one. You were very special. There will never be another Keesha.
I love you baby.
Here is a link to a YouTube video taken on November 5th, 2009 of our various doggies and Lawpdoodle Kennel. Please excuse the
jittery camera! My doggies made it very challenging to film in their excitement for attention! LOL! Enjoy!
For the Love of Poodles and Doodles!
